Meet Yota - the winner of our Design a Fisheye Camera competition. Inspired by the idea of summer all year round, Yota's fruity design was chosen as the winner. Its fun theme and eye-catching colours are just what you need to get snap happy!

How did you find out about the competition?
It was talk of the town at the time.

How many designs did you come up with before you decided to submit your winning design?
This is the only one. I always trust my intuition. I'm really pleased with the outcome. Using the watermelon's colour combination is fun but I don't fancy eating it though.

What was the inspiration behind your design?
Summer all year round!

Your design has a summer holiday feel to it, where do you like to go on holiday?
Sea and hills, a sunny beach or hazy moors - no matter what it is. I love sweeping and spacious scenarios. It's like a guarantee that you are going to get a good shot from of it.

You divide your time between London and Bangkok, so tell us:
What do you like most about London?
- Thursday night at East side - random places for talking and sharing with like-minded people.
- Franco Manca - the best pizza I have ever eaten. Somebody might not like their base, but I love all things sourdough.
- Summer at Serpentine Gallery - the best period and best place to enjoy (the very rare) sunshine in London. Spend jolly days and nights in the garden, plus the Pavilions keep changing every year, you can't top that!

 

What do you like most about Bangkok?
- 24 hours of scrumptious food - it's kind of surreal that you can have a nice meal at 3 or 4 in the morning. There are not just heavy dishes to be offered but light, healthy and delish snacks just dotted around and at almost every corner.
- Night flea markets - where you can forget about everything else and go browsing for a vintage treasure. It is buzzing and looks like it has never gone to sleep.

When it comes to photography are you Lo-fi or Hi-tech?
I have 9 film cameras and 3 digital ones, but I have to say I am keen on a bit of both actually, that is why I carry at least 3 cameras on the go.

What do you like to take pictures of?
My girlfriend, food, found and funny objects.

Favourite photographer?
I love to see new works from Flickr and Tumblr. There are plenty of talented photographers out there, but these guys inspired me and changed my idea of photography from the first time I saw their pictures: Stephen Shore, Gregory Crewdson, Guy Bourdin and Janfamily.

What do you like most about Lomography?
The predictable of unpredictable beauty.
