The sisters launched their label back in A/W 07, combining their individual styles, as well as influences from the arts, literature, theatre and photography into the mix with Savannah’s fashion know-how; producing a feminine collection with vintage overtones.
This Autumn/Winter the Miller sisters take us on a journey through time with stops in the 1970's and rebellious youth culture, early 20th century and the poetic works of Dylan Thomas, and finally back to the 17th century to mourn Queen Elizabeth I. This mix of inspiration and use of fabrics and textures from soft jersey, luxurious Japanese raw silk to denim, velvet and wool, brings a hard-edged masculine feel to an otherwise feminine collection.
In spite of Twenty8Twelve’s celebrity connections, it is definitely not about celebrity even though the brand gets its name from Sienna Miller’s date of birth. According to the Miller sisters, it’s not even about fashion; as their tagline states: Twenty8Twelve is about beautifully made clothes.
