Who knew golf attire could be so covetable? Obviously William Lyle and Walker Scott did when they set up what was originally an underpants and hosiery factory in Hawick on the Scottish borders using the local lambs wool
They soon expanded their range into knitted outerwear including twin sets, jumpers and jackets for golf; and thank goodness as Lyle and Scott woollen pants probably wouldn't be as popular today as their vintage inspired golf designs.
Steeped in over 130 years of history Lyle and Scott has grown into a brand favourite worn by sportsmen, celebrities and regular Joe's alike. Part of the appeal is the iconic eagle badge that adorns every item.
The golden eagle first made an appearance in 1967 - a symbol of Scotland, excellence with strong golf connotations. Now it symbolises all of those things and retro style.
In 1975 it was granted the Royal Warrant from the Duke Of Edinburgh. If it's good enough for the royals, it's good enough for us!
