What do you love about the city?
Most of the time I really appreciate how lively, diverse, and tolerant London is, and that you'll never, ever run out of things to do!
Most memorable moment in London:
I was on the Northern line, sobbing uncontrollably after a really bad day. I usually dislike being emotional in public so you can imagine how bad it was. When the train pulled into Camden Town, I felt someone give me a reassuring pat on my knee.
I looked up and the lady who did so was just getting off the train. She never turned back to look at me which made her gesture not only kind, but gracious too. It turned what was going to be an awful train ride around instantly
What would be an ideal day for you in London?
Whenever the sun is shining and the temperature is around 25C, London seems perfect on a day like this, I almost feel invincible.
Which is your favourite part of London and why?
Soho - I think it might be because I spent extended periods of time in the area when I first moved here so it always has a "homely" feeling to me. It's also hugely convenient - I can get so much day-to-day things done here. Snacking at Fernandez & Wells, groceries from Lina Stores or Fresh & Wild, magazines from Old Compton Street and almost everything else at Liberty...
What made you decide to move to London as opposed to any other city in the world?
I didn't really give that much thought to it. After I finished university, I wanted to try living somewhere that was different to Singapore. It was quite difficult at first, being away from home and not knowing many people, but I learned and I had to do it very quickly too!
