After starting her fashion career on the other side of the catwalk as a fashion journalist, Luella Bartley put her money where her mouth is, and in 1999 started own label - Luella.

Known for her playful yet covetable designs, this Spring/Summer '09 collection is no different; full of bright candy coloured lady-like knitwear complete with frills, blouses, and of course prom dresses.

At first glance the collection looks all prim and proper, but on closer inspection you can see a 'Luella' undertone, something that sets it apart from the rest. It could be anything from a unique combination of fabrics, random pleating or detail, or something that just doesn't seem quite correct. Without this though, it just wouldn't be Luella.
