Nerd, retro-lover and do-gooder.

How and why did you choose the name 'Human Empire'?
We founded our own empire as a reaction to the politics of our country and many others. It was more a 'fantasy empire'; a good place without wars, pollution and all those bad things - a kind of hippie empire.

Describe a typical day in the life of Human Empire...
Sleep long, have a good breakfast, cycle to the shop/office. Switch on the computer and have a look at our shop because our office is located at the back of it.

Who or what inspires your work?
Classic typography and graphic design from the '50s to the '80s, Pop culture, children books, comics, and graphic art.

Best project you've worked on and why?
Our almost 10 year collaboration with the record label Morr music with more than 80 LP and CD cover art.

What do you never leave home without?
Acid rain shelter.

If you could learn to do anything; what would it be and why?
I would like to be good at woodwork and better at drawing.

An oldie but a goodie of a question - If you could have any super power what would it be and why?
Every day I am so mad about many things happened on planet earth, I often dream to be a modern Robin Hood.

What's next for Human Empire?
We just rebuilt our previously lousy looking basic online shop. We are also planning new posters and t-shirts for the spring season.
