Describe Glasgow in 3 words:
Good, Bad and Green.

There is something for everyone here. No matter what you like to eat, listen to or wear. Glasgow can be pretty full on. Needless to say as rulers of The Kingdom of Style, we don't really spend much money on eating or drinking, we save it all for sequins and shoes!

What do you love about the city?
It's like West Side Story but with lots more rain. Each part of the city is completely unique in character and feel. The West End, South Side, The City Centre and the East End - they couldn't be more different from each other. It's all about contrasts and juxtapositions, with the very old sitting beside the very new and cutting edge clashing with couldn't care less. Art, Architecture and attitude are everywhere and you are never more than five minutes walk away from a park and some green space!

Which is your favourite part of Glasgow and why?
Marie: Without coming over all Mary

Poppins - it would be the rooftops and the roofline of the whole city. All of the most amazing architectural details are up there just waiting for you to stop and look up...
Michelle: The Botanic Gardens in the West End. It makes you feel you have escaped the madness for a while, plus the remains of the abandoned underground railway tunnels that are throughout the city can be found with some exploring.

What would be an ideal day for you in Glasgow when you are not working?
Marie: It would start with warm doughnuts and tea while thrifting in The Barras, followed by a visit to the charming boys in Rub-a-Dub for some new records. Then over to the South Side for another cuppa and a good prowl around The Dresser. Finally, off home for a disco nap before heading out to dance the night away in the Sub Club.
Michelle: At home with my dogs and the boything in the morning, followed by a root around the charity shops in the South Side, a nip into town to have a nosey around, then

some Thai food at the Thai Fountain; home to change into some splendid togs whilst my boything spins some tunes for me and then out to the Sub Club.

What's the weirdest thing that has happened to you or that you've seen in Glasgow?
Marie: Walking back to the car after the Sub Club one night, a very drunk man tried to catch up with me on the bridge. He kept shouting at me, beseeching me to stop but I kept walking. Eventually he sounded like he was about to start crying, so I turned round to see what the problem was. He staggered towards me and held something out towards me in both hands. It was a packet of cooked ham. "Help me, please help me, help me open my ham" I opened his ham, refused his offer of a slice and laughed all the way back to the car.
Michelle: Nothing specific comes to mind but I do get accosted by a fair amount of freaks on the bus.

Most memorable moment in Glasgow:
Marie: The first time I saw the curtain of lights above GOMA. It was like being in a fairytale. Enchanting.
Michelle: Seeing the Ramones at the Barrowlands in 1988.

Finally, if there was one thing someone had to do when visiting Glasgow, what would it be?
Marie: Without doubt, dance the night away in the Sub Club. See you at the side of the DJ box!
Michelle: I have to agree. There are few things finer than dancing at the Sub.
