Where do you go for a bite to eat?

OK, so maybe Copenhagen isn't much of a culinary destination, but I absolutely love Danish style hot dogs. If you haven't tried one before, they're foot-long hot dogs with ketchup and some other various sauces with fried onions, pickled cucumber, and a sweet vinegary thing.

I also like the Turkish places in Vesterbro, but I suppose those aren't particularly Danish. Another place I like is Hereford Beefstouw. I think it's a chain though, since the first time I came across it was at the airport in Hong Kong. It's just a simple steak kinda place, but done really well.

Where do you go to quench your thirst?

My favorite cozy place to get a drink and a meal is Café Dyrehaven | Sønder Boulevard 72, DK-1720. It’s a cosy café by day, but has DJs at night and well-prepared meals that are surprisingly sophisticated for pub-grub. Cool crowd too.

U.O. Picks...

The Laundromat Café | Four locations across Copenhagen.
Part launderette (yes really), part coffee shop, part library; a unique and eclectic mix of services that work surprisingly well together. You can wash your clothes in the sound proofed room; then enjoy some breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or perhaps a coffee or beer. Wile away the time and browse their library of over 4000 books.

Barbarellah | Nørre Farimagsgade 41, 1364.
Centrally located bar with comprehensive cocktail list specialising in rum based cocktails. If that wasn't enough, they also serve larger than average measures.
